Catalog description

This course is on the emerging synergy between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cybersecurity that is increasingly important to support various essential and critical applications in public safety, transportation, education, healthcare, and defense. The course includes cutting-edge topics of both: 1) applying advanced AI techniques to empower cybersecurity functions, and 2) enhancing the security of AI technologies. The course will cover Cybersecurity and AI fundamentals, the state-of-the-art AI and Machine Learning (ML) methods and algorithms, AI/ML for meta-data network traffic analysis, AI/ML for threats detection/defense/mitigation, AI/ML for industrial predictive maintenance, and Large Language Models (LLMs) for cybersecurity, AI/ML model robustness, AI/ML adversary attacks and defense, AI/ML model explainability and transparency, and AI/ML ethics and regulations.
