3 Lab Hours 0 Credits 3 This course prepares the student to communicate with patients and other allied health professionals which he/she may come in contact within the medical setting. Emphasis is placed on verbal, nonverbal, written communication skills, and medical document formatting. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the skills needed for effective communication in the medical setting.
