Catalog description

Reinforcement of clinical skills in a practical setting within established ethical and legal guidelines. Focus on use of correct tomography instrumentation, protocol implementation, and positioning techniques and application of patient safety measures and As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) practices to reduce radiation dose as established by the institution. Also includes use of effective communication skills. Prerequisites: Admission to Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
