3 semester credit hours This course builds upon learners’ foundational knowledge and skills, focusing on the role of the baccalaureate-prepared nurse. It explores the scope and standards for professional nursing practice, transitional models, and nursing theories. Additionally, the course examines key factors influencing nursing practice, including emotional intelligence and ethical comportment. Emphasis is placed on the development of professional identity, nursing philosophy, and ongoing professional development. The course also fosters essential interprofessional communication and collaboration skills necessary for effective practice in diverse healthcare settings.
