NUR 242; PSY 2305 This course focuses on the care of patients experiencing complex mental health issues. Emphasis is on the role of the registered nurse in health promotion and maintenance, illness care, and rehabilitation of children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing psychiatric-mental health problems. Clinical experiences offer learners the opportunity to use established professional standards, guidelines, competencies, and best practices to provide safe, patient-centered care to individuals and families in various healthcare settings.
