F Introduction to Stage Combat

Catalog description

36 hours lecture and 54 hours lab per term. This course focuses on learning how to safely and effectively perform moments of violence in the context of scene work from dramatic literature. Students will explore the fundamentals of unarmed and armed stage combat through analysis, practical application, and performance while improving kinesthetic awareness as well as enhancing confidence in heightened dramatic situations.
