Honors Social Inequality

Catalog description

54 hours lecture per term. This Honors-enhanced course explores the extent, causes, and consequences of social and economic inequality in the U.S., including an analysis of the institutions through which inequality is structured, reproduced, and experienced in the contemporary United States. This course examines the family, the educational system, labor markets, and the criminal justice system, attending to the roles of race, class, and gender as axes of stratification in these domains.
