Honors Sociology of the Family

Formerly: Honors Marriage and Family. 54 hours lecture per term. This Honors-enhanced course focuses on the family as a social institution, including the study of the structures and functions of the family. Emphasis is placed on an analysis of the family’s relationship to economic structures, political institutions and belief systems.
