72 hours lecture per term. This Honors-enhanced course introduces students to descriptive and inferential statistical methods. These methods are essential to the understanding, interpretation, and performance of scientific research. Topics covered include presentation of graphic data, probability theory, hypothesis testing, correlation analysis, analysis of variance, and basic research design. Experience with calculators and computers is provided. (Degree Credit) (CSU) (UC Credit Limitation: STAT C1000, STAT C1000H, STAT C1000E, SOSC 120 F , PSY 161 F and PSY 161HF combined; maximum credit, 1 course) AA GE, CSU GE, IGETC (C-ID: MATH 110)
