F Theory of Coaching Soccer

Catalog description

36 hours lecture per term. This course provides preparation for future physical education and recreation teachers or community coaches in the theory of coaching soccer. It includes the mental and physical preparation of becoming an instructor of, or participant in, the sport of soccer and the theory and practical experience of offensive and defensive phases of the game. Technique, tactics, fitness, and psychology will be covered in detail. Rules and regulations of the game, along with equipment and safety, will be discussed.
