54 hours lecture per term. This course covers the historical relationship between furnishings, architecture and the decorative arts in this overview of design heritage from antiquity through the 19th century in Europe. Emphasis is placed on style development as it relates to social, economic, and political influences. Site visits may be scheduled outside regularly-scheduled class times. (Degree Credit) (CSU) AA GE
