54 hours lecture per term. This Honors-enhanced course is a survey of the development of and interconnections among the civilizations of Europe, Africa, the Middle East, India, China, Japan and the Americas, from AD 1550 to the present. This Honors-enhanced course will employ enhanced teaching methods such as a seminar approach, more research-based writing assignments, and assignments calling for a higher level of critical thinking.
