F Geology of California

Catalog description

54 hours lecture per term. This course examines the physical and historical geology of California. Each of California's natural provinces will be analyzed for tectonic structures, rock and fossil occurrences, geologic hazards, and mineral deposits. Pertinent state laws and ordinances relating to geologic concerns will be reviewed. Field trips may be required outside of regularly-scheduled class time.
