Academic Reading and Writing

Catalog description

Formerly: ENGL C1000E Enhanced College Writing. 90 hours lecture per term. In this course, students receive instruction in academic reading and writing, including writing processes, effective use of language, analytical thinking, and the foundations of academic research. This course includes embedded support. The emphasis is on reading and writing expository essays and will also cover documentation skills. It will also focus on student success skills necessary for academic success. Optional field trips may take place outside of regularly-scheduled class times.
