Catalog description
54 hours lecture per term. This course is an introductory study of the folklore and mythology of representative cultures of the world through literature including such cultures as Greek, Norse, Babylonian, American Indian, European, Mexican, Hindu, and Chinese. The course will include a comparative study of mythic elements and patterns with their modern parallels in both Eastern and Western civilizations.
