Formerly: ARTH C1200H Honors Western Art History 15th to 21st Century 54 hours lecture per term. This course provides an overview of art and architecture from the Renaissance to the contemporary period with a focus on art from Europe. The course will further consider global interactions involving this region. This is an honors course. This course is a survey of architecture, sculpture and painting from the 15th century to the 21st century. Art history courses may be taken in any sequence; at least two semesters are required of art majors. Field trips may be required outside of regularly-scheduled class time.
