Catalog description

54 hours lecture per term. This course examines the basic principles, concepts and purposes of substantive criminal law. It surveys the historical development of penal law throughout history and examines basic criminal legal concepts, including culpability, defenses, parties to crime, inchoate offenses, and laws of arrest.
