Examines the ethical issues associated with the practice of integrative health therapies with emphasis on the significance of boundaries, creating safe working environments, and maintaining a healing presence. This course addresses self-care, professional codes of ethics, confidentiality, scopes of practice within various treatment modalities, in addition to safe and appropriate touch. An examination of the psychological and physical dynamics of professional practitioner-client relationships as well as tools for effective communication will be discussed.
