Catalog description
This course prepares students for employment as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs). It is an introductory survey of emergency medical services, including but not limited to: preparatory, airway and double lumen device, patient assessment, medical behavioral emergencies, obstetrics/gynecology, trauma, infants and children, geriatrics, and operations. Upon successful completion of EMS 2119, EMS 2119L, and EMS 2421, students will earn a College Credit Certificate which will allow the program to submit their name to become a Florida certified EMT.
