Review of historical and current trends, including family structures, romantic relationships, cohabitation, marriage, childbearing, parenthood, gender, sexuality, aging, work-family issues, and inter-generational care giving. Analysis of patterns, causes, and consequences related to individual choices, social interactions, institutional influences, and policies regarding relationships and families.
