Catalog description

This inquiry-based course, guided by the Florida Teacher Certification Examination (FTCE) and Florida’s Next Generation Sunshine State Standards (NGSSS), emphasizes authentic scientific and engineering practices, as well as the knowledge of core concepts, as essential for effective elementary science teaching. Together, these capacities prepare students to translate observable and experiential phenomena into meaningful, grade-level appropriate, science inquiry-based classroom instruction.
