Introduction to Secondary English Language Arts Methods

Catalog description

The purposes of this course are (a) to make connections among concepts in curriculum and instruction, literacy education, and the teaching of reading and writing, (b) to introduce the processes of planning curriculum, lessons, and activities that are aligned with assessment and that are based on strategies that support and challenge diverse learners, and (c) to build understandings of professional and ethical issues that are of concern to English Language Arts teachers.
