Practicum in Early Literacy

Catalog description

This practicum course provides students with an opportunity to practice and demonstrate competence in early literacy assessment, instruction, and intervention in an early childhood classroom setting. Students will apply their literacy knowledge and skills with PreK-Grade 3 students. The practicum will include both small-group and whole-class instruction. Teacher candidates will be evaluated for mastery of Competency 5 of the Florida Reading Endorsement.
