Catalog description

Electrochemical phenomena are covered from an engineering perspective. Principles of thermodynamics, reaction engineering, and transport phenomena are extended to electrochemical systems. Topics include electrode potentials and kinetics, mass transport, and interfacial phenomena governing current and potential distributions in systems such as batteries, fuel cells, electrolysis, and corrosion. Emphasis is placed on physical understanding, problem solving, and engineering applications.
