Introduces the principles in systems engineering (SE) that deal with system life cycle phases. Emphasizes requirements and design methodologies. Includes SE definition; life cycle methodologies, tools and techniques; evaluation of system and technology alternatives; reliability and maintainability; trade-off models; and management tools and techniques. Minimum student level - junior Requirement(s): Instructor approval Prerequisite: MTH 2201 or MTH 3200
