Catalog description

Engages CAST students in experiential problem-based learning using interactive role play simulations of child maltreatment scenarios. Introduces students to concepts of childhood traumatic stress and trauma-informed reasoning before participating in a simulation of the mandated reporting process after an accidental disclosure of abuse. Social/Behavior Sciences Prerequisite: PSY 3531 Child Psychology Corequisite: PSY 3551 Introduction to Child Advocacy
