Schrodinger equation, the uncertainty principle, one-dimensional potentials, harmonic oscillator, operator methods, tunneling, angular momentum and spin. Discusses three-dimensional problems, such as one-electron atom and N-particle systems. Introduces approximation techniques, including perturbation theory. Prerequisite: ( MTH 2201 or MTH 3200 ) and PHY 2003
