Catalog description

Covers the nature of radiation, blackbody radiation laws, Maxwell’s equations, radar equation, radiative transfer equation and inversion techniques. Includes applications from surface, aircraft and spacecraft observations using Doppler ® , LiDAR, visible, infrared and microwave systems to infer synoptic atmospheric properties. Requires knowledge of atmospheric physics and dynamics, as well as familiarity with interpreting meteorological data.
