Overviews the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in the growth, development and functioning of plants through review of current literature. Uses labs to focus on gene transfer (transformation), identification of transgenic plants, phytohoromone detection, as well as cell and tissue culture. Prerequisite: BIO 4010 Corequisite: BIO 4010
