Includes self-assembly synthesis, microscopic/spectroscopic characterization, functional evaluation, and aggregation of nanoparticles, nanotubes, coating and nanocomposites; biocompatibility, hydrophobicity, photoluminescence, catalysis, magnetic and chemical sensing, and self-diagnosing structural applications. Minimum student level - junior Prerequisite: ( BME 3260 or CHE 3260 or CHM 2002 ), and ( CHE 1091 or CHM 1091 or PHY 1091 )
