Presents an analysis of financial institutions and the interrelationships among intermediaries in both money and capital markets. Considers the functions of the Federal Reserve and its effect on interest rates and financial markets. Focuses on commercial banks and other depository institutions, investment banks and mutual funds. Prerequisite: BUS 5421 and BUS 5440
