Introduces medical imaging technologies from a biomedical engineering perspective. Discusses instrumentation, physics, mathematics and clinical applications of medical imaging modalities including x-ray, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, positron emission tomography, ultrasound, optical, fluorescence and molecular imaging. Prerequisite: BIO 3201 and ( MTH 2201 or MTH 3200 ) and PHY 2002
