Catalog description

Introduces engineering aspects of detection, acquisition, processing and display of signals from living systems. Covers biomedical sensors, ions and gases in aqueous solution, force, displacement, blood pressure, blood flow, heart sounds, respiration and temperature. Includes therapeutic and prosthetic devices and medical imaging instrumentation. Prerequisite: ( BIO 3201 or BIO 3211 or BIO 3212 ) and PHY 2002
