Advanced Methods in Tissue Biomechanics

Catalog description

Provides a project-based course designed for senior undergraduate students and graduate students with a basic engineering background. Introduces the advanced methods in tissue biomechanics, which cover continuum biomechanics, image processing and image-based modeling, and multiscale mechanical characterization of biomaterials. Also introduces multiple software tools in image processing and finite element method, along with the machine learning method. Prerequisite: BME 2081 Corequisite: BME 3081
