Introduces methods to test and characterize classes of biomaterials used in biomedical engineering. Includes polymers, metals, ceramics and composites; mechanical properties and structural behavior of biological tissues; experimental design and empirical observation; data collection, interpretation and presentation; and instrumentation uncertainty. Prerequisite: BME 2081 and BME 3081 and BME 3260 Corequisite: BME 3081
