Covers the fundamentals of microbiology. Examines the structure, classification, metabolism and pathogenicity of prokaryotes, eukaryotic microorganisms and viruses. Labs cover aspects of isolation, culture, enumeration, identification and control of microorganisms. Prerequisite: BIO 1020 and CHM 1102
