Examines the legal and environmental facets of advanced air mobility (AAM), focusing on the regulatory challenges and legal precedents shaping the future of aerial transportation systems. Emphasizing law, policy and environmental sustainability, the course explores international and domestic regulatory frameworks, safety management systems, airspace integration, licensing, liability, environmental impact assessments, noise regulation and urban planning considerations specific to AAM. Students analyze key treaties, statutes and case law to develop a robust understanding of the evolving legal landscape surrounding AAM operations.
