Includes elliptic, parabolic and hyperbolic PDEs; finite-difference formulations; explicit and implicit methods and stability analysis; operator splitting and multi-step methods; boundary conditions; grid generation techniques; and applications involving Euler boundary layer and full Navier-Stokes equations. Recommended: Background knowledge in Fortran, C/C++ or another programming language (other than MATLAB or similar) and partial differential equations.
