Catalog description

A study of the radiographic related physics principles and the operation of the radiographic equipment including: conventional, fluoroscopic, mammographic, linear tomographic, and digital radiological equipment. Identification of the basic control devices in the radiographic control panel. Fundamental concepts of electricity, magnetism and electromagnetism and the structure and function of the different circuits of the x-ray and the processing equipment. This course also will provide the students with the quality assurance tests commonly done on diagnostic radiographic equipment and the quality assurance program applied to the radiology field.
