Catalog description

This course includes an overview of a civil lawsuit as well as an introduction to pleading and the most commonly used motions. It will also highlight the interface between civil procedure and substantive law. It will prepare the legal assistant to assist the trial attorney in preparing civil litigation in the Florida and Federal Courts. Topics included are: substantive civil law, the Florida and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and related matters including drafting of pleadings, and preparing interrogatives and answers.
