This course provides an overview of informatics. An introduction of the value of information management and patient care technology. With a focus on healthcare information technology introducing the importance of informatics, analysis of applications, clinical information systems, data acquisitions and data representation, lexicon used in nursing informatics, organizational, social issues and ethical influences that information technology used within healthcare system.
