Catalog description

This course is the second clinically-based course for psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner students. Didactic and clinical experiences in psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner care focuses on prevention and common and chronic problems across the lifespan. Students further develop their skills related to communication techniques, patient teaching and support, coaching, counseling, role playing, and management of health problems of psychiatric population in the community setting.
