This course continues to expand the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of health assessment principles for the healthcare needs of individuals across the lifespan. This practicum focuses the nurse practitioner student on primary diagnostic skills and assessment to enhance health promotion, prevention of illness, diagnosis and management of psychiatric mental health conditions experienced throughout the life span. Emphasis on professional practice issues and transition into the practice role of a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
