Catalog description

This course introduces concepts of the adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner role, focusing on specialization, expansion, and advancement of research-based knowledge and skills related to the advanced practice of nursing within the elderly care setting. Emphasis is on the development of a knowledge base necessary for clinical decision-making and the beginning definition of a model of practice with the family as the unit of service.
