Catalog description

This course is an applied introduction to calculus which provides real world applications of concepts needed to pursue careers in business, economics, and sciences. You will learn applications of differential calculus such as rates, optimization problems, and curve sketching. The problems will include topics such as marginal analysis, production and manufacturing cost, inventory, exponential growth and decay, compound interest and population distribution. You will also see applications of integral calculus, partial derivatives, and optimization of functions of two variables.
