Catalog description

This course provides students with an overview of information technology tools used to manage patient databases in healthcare systems. It covers various topics such as patient care, clinical decision support, disease and demographic surveillance, imaging and simulation, safety, and environmental assessment. Additionally, students will learn the basics of proposing, reporting, and refereeing evaluation studies. Legal and ethical issues related to training, security, confidentiality, and informed consent will also be discussed.
