Catalog description

This course will give an overview of firms' unique problems in international activities. It will review the importance of understanding the foreign economic, social, political, cultural, and legal environment and the mechanics of importing and exporting, joint ventures, franchising, and subsidiaries. It will also cover topics such as the international dimensions of management, marketing, and accounting, international financial management, the unique problems of multinational corporations, recent issues of the global economic system, country-risk analysis, and the increasing use of countertrade.
