Catalog description

The goal of this course is to help students comprehend the role that financial institutions and markets play in the business environment they will encounter in the future. It also introduces students to finance and economics principles that explore the connection between financial markets, financial institutions, and the economy. The course includes a review of financial markets and financial institutions and the role they play in the economy, emphasizing the term structure of interest rates and stock pricing, currency values in the short and long term, and features of the FED.
