This course introduces students to the biological & psychological research on Autism Spectrum Disorders. In addition, this course explores the diagnostic classification of this disorder; historical and philosophical views; efforts to help individuals live productive & independent lives; recent controversies; integrative approach to treatment with a special focus on Applied Behavioral Analysis techniques for interventions and developing programs for generalization and maintenance.
