Catalog description

This course investigates the role of culture in individual behavior, cognition, and emotion. A variety of psychological topics will be explored from a cross-cultural perspective, including developmental processes, thinking processes, gender, health, emotion, communication, identity and personality. The role of culture in interpersonal, intergroup relations, organizations, and the identification and treatment of abnormal behavior will also be discussed. Finally, theoretical perspectives and research methodology pertinent to cross-cultural psychology are examined.
